    1. @Emo DaDon you’ve become the new ign xbot troll. I like my xbox too but come on man just enjoy the update dont always be such a troll. I love my ps5 and the lineup of games, enjoy your updates to 3-4 old games but lets not pretend xbox has the best games around

    2. @Atlas Claude let’s pretend as if 18 of thier 23 studios aren’t brand new and haven’t released a single exclusive yet. How about making ur judgment going forward instead of looking backward to a time when they had only 5 internal studios. I guess Redfall, halo, horizon 5, starfield, fallout 5, stalker 2, Elder Scrolls 6, state of decay 3, doom, quake, Indiana Jones, Dishonered, evil within, prey, gears of War, Everwild, Wasteland, hellblade 2, Project Mara, Pschonauts 2, etc are all gonna be low quality trash. Sony’s 4-5 good exclusives obviously make up for the lack of variety and quantity of xbox huh. You’re gonna be in for a long generation of deprogramming

    3. @Emo DaDon I prefer Sony games over Xbox games. I would rather pick Horizon Forbidden West over Halo Infinite and Forza 5 combined. Not that Halo and Forza are bad, it comes down to a matter of preferences. So when Sony fans say xbox games are not as fun as Sony games even if you put out 100 xbox games and 50 sony ones… this is what they are talking about.

    1. @Emo DaDon naughty dog and insomniac are 2 of the best studios around. Idk why you gotta be so partisan about gaming. You are missing out on some of the best games of the last 3 generation. I have both systems so I dont get the fanboy bs kids like you always do. Does it get you excited to troll?

  1. Of course Xbox series X is very powerful console but I was not expecting to go higher than high end PC’s! Well done Microsoft for that and Ninja Theory as well !

    1. Seeing all these comments, it’s hilarious how easily hurt and defensive the PC derprace can be lol. Just chill, if it’s optimized for Xbox then so what? It means good for Xbox to have that…right? If it’s a Microsoft exclusive then they have all the rights to optimizing all their exclusives for the console they are trying to sell. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do this kind of thing more in the future.

    2. @Titus Alabat If someone was spreading misinformation about your chosen platform wouldn’t you be annoyed? This is a.blatant attempt by IGN to stir the pot and cause conflict. A 5600XT is barely a mid range card by today’s standards, a 2060 is better and we already know the consoles beat a 2060 is raw performance.

It has nothing to do with optimisation. They are pitting a fairly low end machine vs a new console and saying somehow that means the console is beating a high end PC. It’s flat out ridiculous. But this is IGN so what should we expect.

    3. @Titus Alabat its not salty pc gamers, the point is that the title of the video is deceptive, and thus IGN’s BS must be called out.

    1. @Zane White nope.. my video card rx580 I bought a year ago before the bit mining craze cost me $140 .. maxes out every single game at 1080p on my computer that i built in 2008 «i7 920» cpu.. so many games to choose from and play I’m bored and only look for good exclusives.

  2. Hmmm, honestly I prefer the enriched mode. It’s not because of the raytracing, it’s because there’s more pop-in in resolution mode (seen on trees etc). It looks nice in resolution mode, don’t get me wrong, but this is a game where 30fps isn’t a big deal for me when i get a more stable image (as seen on Valhalla or Fenyx Rising, for example).

  3. Wait, i think i missed the performance comparison with high end PC’s in the video. Is there a second video or something? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  4. I’m in my 40’s and I find that I grew up playing the same games a lot, while also being primarily sing player experiences.
That made me take my time a lot, paying attention to the things on screen in detail. Something that meant slowing things down too, stopping to look at something just for the appreciation of the art. I think that’s why I have a lot less appreciation for fast paced online multiplayer games, as you just don’t appreciate the finer details because…well…you’ll likely die lol. I’m just saying that a beautiful narrative driven game will always get my attention.

  5. Great stuff, Michael. Slightly surprised they couldn’t get RT on the performance mode. It’s not a super demanding game. Then again, Ninja Theory didn’t do the upgrade themselves.

Still very unconvinced by RT reflections. They just don’t look THAT much better than good quality SSR/cube maps to be worth the huge hit to performance. Not here, not RE: Village, not Control, not anything I’ve played. Only R&C: Rift Apart has truly impressed. But, hey, that whole game was pretty mind-blowing visually. That’s Insomniac for you.

  6. Lmfao ray tracing being added to only the series x is basically what makes it «outperform» a high end pc? But then u say its not really worth the performance hit….well I’ll say this, ive literally been playing this the past week since my buddy on series x played it and loved it. Im on 9900k and 3080 and i get full maxed settings 4k like 90-100 fps…..oh and thats NOT dynamic lol. looks pretty identical to the enriched mode if u ask me, maybe thats why u say its not worth it lol. This video is a joke.

  7. Glad to see this, i am enjoying my 1st xbox and gamepass. Just wish some of these efforts were towards new games not stuff from 2017 etc. Been 9 months since launch

    1. It’s not even ninja theory themselves that handled the upgrade, they are working at the new entry of the series and paid someone else to do this

    2. @Chris Johnson while that’s true, it’s through backwards compatibility, so honestly it’s incredible they went the extra mile to do these things. Look at 360 games on the one x and series s and x. They aren’t all enhanced, but when they are they look considerably better than their counterparts.
The 360 games are just a fraction of what is happening with this generation. Games will be coming out this fall taking advantage of these machines, and games have been released within the past year of launch taking advantage of the power.

But there is nothing wrong with games being updated as long as there is no cost for the upgrades. I don’t want to see another generation of remasters. And this is stepping in the right direction to avoid things like the stupid last of us remake, and etc. I don’t mind seeing that doom eternal on my Xbox one is going to be upgraded at no cost to next gen with ray tracing and enhanced graphic and FPS. I would if they released a new version of it called expanded and enhanced and it was paid. That way I can save my money for upcoming titles from the Xbox library.

  8. Soooooo how does it outperform a high end PC? Or is IGN just straight lying in the title ?

This isn’t even clickbait. This is straight up lying

    1. @NX Gamer lol ray tracing… something that’s been available to pc gamers for years… it not being written for dx11 does not mean that the pc couldn’t do it it just means it hasn’t been written lol. That’s not being out performed. That’s like comparing apples to oranges.

    2. @NX Gamer they basically compared an upgraded version to the original on different platforms. If they release the upgraded version on pc…a 3060ti can and will outperform the series x. This guy is like the wish version of actual good reviewers, trying to add quips and puns with the english accent to natch, until you realize the script is boneheaded and the entire method of comparison and review is irrational. 2/10 needs more timestamps

    1. @Aditya Das the PS4 Pro version is on PS5, but the PS4 Pro version is worst than the Xbox One X version, and the Xbox Series X version is better than the Xbox One X version, the game will not get a PS5 version, it is exclusive to Xbox.
The video is about the Next-Gen version, not the PS4/XOne versions.

    1. A 5600xt is not high end, maybe 1.5 to 2 years ago but not now. Also, its AMD card, Nvidia 2060 is more high end than that. This should had been a 20 series RTX or 30 series RTX Nvidia card to be titled correct.

  9. Whats up with the consoles and their 120FPS modes. 60 to 120fps is double the pixel throughput, yet the resolution is more like 5x lower. I know there are overheads but even a Zen2 CPU should be fine in these older titles.

  10. There’s actually less foliage on the SX than the One X which is why u never put the SX shots up in that part of ur comparisons.🤔🤔🤔

    1. @The Don Playz they’re not exclusives! I can get them on pc!! Demon souls ps5 only! Ratchet and clank ps5 only!! Returnal ps5 only!!! Are you all thick!!

    2. @Jamie Jones LMAO. God of war cross gen. Horizon Forbidden West cross gen, Grand Turismo cross gen 😭😭 should I get the ps5 to play ratchet and clank or to blow in the controller you tell me🤷🏾

    3. @The Don Playz have you played ratchet and clank? Have you played demon souls have you played returnal? Thought not otherwise you wouldn’t be saying stupid shit like that? Should I get a series x for halo? Or just get it on my already more powerful laptop or pc? Or any other Xbox game for that matter? No! Your argument is pathetic! Clapped out xbot fangirl!

    4. @Jamie Jones of course I played ratchet and clank it’s the 17th game🤦🏾‍♂️ yes I played demon souls it’s a PS3 remake🤷🏾 Why would I want to play Returnal it’s a mess that Sony won’t let you return😂😂 The bangers that people care about is cross gen same argument😂It doesn’t matter where you play your still supporting Microsoft idiot it’s called Windows pc .

    5. @High Pressure! battlefield 2042 tech test is canceled on the ps5 due to CRITICAL issue are we going to talk bout grass or what matters😂

    1. @Saliva it was never high end even when it was released , it was considered mid tier which shows u how much more powerful a PC actually is.. considering consoles are pretty much PC’s.. u don’t expect it to be more powerful than a PC except maybe during launch date.. but if that were the case.. people would never be able to afford one. So imo .. a console will never be more powerful than a PC.. they will use gimmicky words to make it seem like it with the PS3 launch.

    1. Even a mid range 3070 would cream the performance of a series X. Heck even a 3060Ti outperforms the consoles. Not by much but still, its a win.

You have tons of comparisons of 3060Ti vs consoles where the PC is running native 4K and the consoles have dynamic resolution scaling and the PC is still matching performance while running higher settings.

  11. Quite boring game, completely clickbait title=worthless video. I don’t understand how IGN still is arround after all the flops all these years.

  12. 🖕🏽🖕🏼🖕🖕🏿🖕🏻🖕🏾IGN ‘IF’ it’s daily SW news you seek w/Flare, try Star Wars Meg? Join ‘The’ Megalorian movement&make us STRONGER💪🏿💪🏻💪🦾💪🏾💪🏼💪🏽TOGETHER!!!

  13. Imagine thinking that the game runs better on console than PC by default. Figured it was because the game got a console patch omitted from PC. Obviously PC would run better given the same patch. Nice CB title

    1. Microsoft owns this exclusive so it makes sense for them to patch it for their console. If trying to sell more next gen consoles is the goal then PC will be a foot note. We already know that high end PC can run any games better since it’s pretty much quadruple the price. But it’ll be interesting how console optimizations can change that perspective really quick.

    1. To everyone calling bs, it probably does good in performance. All they have to do is reduce all the graphics as low as possible without the common player noticing and boom, high semi-consistent frame rate. This is actually a common practice that every major console does to games since the PS3 days. Look at the texture closely on any wall and you’ll see everything is really ugly and pixelated. Whereas PC you can make the textures so much higher and prettier and if it’s a good enough PC you can still play with a decent frame rate

    1. I can’t remember the last time I payed for an enhanced version of a game. I’m currently re-playing a plague tale innocence enhanced for the PS5. They didn’t charge me a single dime. I bought the game on sale on PS4. And I’m sure there’s more games that have done this I just don’t feel like naming them right now
