  1. NEXT WEEK I will be counting down the BEST GAMES of 2021. Just wanted to talk consoles one more time for the year. Thanks for watching!! <3

    1. I’ve played Returnal Ratchet Spider-Man demons souls, Deathloop, Kena and Astrobot + others on Ps5. With dual sense I’ve replayed metro exodus and Control Ps5 version just because the immersion is 100x better. Ps5 was the best launch ever. And everyone who says otherwise has A, no Ps5 or B, is just an Xbot or Notendo (Nintendo needs his own pony/bot thing)

  2. I would rank the big 3 in 2021 1. Switch 2. Xbox Series consoles 3. PS5. Switch easily had the best exclusives this year, Xbox had the best value with 500 games on Game Pass and backwards compatibility that makes many games «free» remasters, Sony had $70 games, none of which interest me.

  3. As an Xbox guy with both a series x and Ps5. I find myself buying everything for my Ps5. I like what they did with the controller. With my Xbox I feel like im playing an upgraded one X but I do think the games look better on the series x.

    1. Don’t you have to buy everything on PS5 tho 🤔…. I think I get your point but it reads awkwardly as if you buy the ps5 games because you’d rather buy them than the Xbox games but technically you just don’t have to buy the Xbox games because of gamepass

    2. @Charles Freeman certain games that come out (forza, halo, back 4 blood, recently scarlet nexus). Everything else that I would be forced to actually purchase I buy it on the Ps5. Maybe it’s a mental thing but between the haptic feedback in the controller and the awesome speaker/mic on the controller I feel more connected to my Ps5. Don’t know how to explain. Again this is coming from an Xbox guy.

    3. @JaYBiZzY that statement actually proves my point as every game you just listed is on gampass so there is no actual need to buy them regardless of hepatic feedback …. but I get it you like the PS5 better no prob glad you’re enjoying your systems 👍🏾

  4. i thought you wouldve been biased and go straight sony. but ninten did do good this year. they are treating the switch horribly though.

  5. Play station and Nintendo. Xbox is no longer conpeting. With play station and Nintendo you are constantly getting amazing exclusive games but with Xbox all you get is gamepass. Xbox is a gamepass platform. Their games are mediocre. Halo, gears and forzá is all you get on Xbox. Nothing new or exciting. This platform focus more on services than actual games in my opinion. This is why they are in last place because they focus way too much on gamepass instead of making great games.

  6. They each have their own niche, Nintendo has portable first party games, Sony has good games, and Microsoft has free games behind a monthly subscription

    1. Just to be that guy, but Game Pass games aren’t free. You’re monthly sub fee doesn’t go to buying Phil Spencer lunch, it pays for those games.

  7. I have a ps5 qnd a series x a d my series x gets waaaaaaaaay more playtime. Prob a 90/10 split.

And where’s the forza review??? That was a banger exclusive for xbox.

  8. Lmao…Dreamcast guy…where have u been? It isn’t about console sales anymore. Those 2 companies play entirely different games. Xbox just wants you in the ecosystem, Sony wants every penny in your wallet.

  9. Please. The switch has really been the only one winning. Graphics doesn’t mean you win. Availability is winning. Having a console that can go with you can’t be beat.

  10. I don’t think Microsoft defines their success by the amount of consoles sold anymore. Microsoft is in the cloud, PC, and mobile gaming business now…

  11. I’ve been playing my switch more then my PlayStation or PC. And I just got it maybe like a year ago. It’s already my favorite system simply because I can take it with me which for someone who takes the bus and travels it’s awesome. Playing with friends together in one room with our own systems it’s awesome.

  12. Nier replicant, eastward, tormented souls, and SMT V. Can’t play as much as I’d like but these were all bangers to me so I won 2021 lol

  13. I’m actively waiting for the pa5 slim if that sound odd. There’s genuinely still too much that I haven’t explored on PS4. I’ll get to ps5 when I’m ready… and I guess when it’s readily available 😜

    1. I doubt a PS5 Slim will come out any time soon. Maybe in 3 years. Sony has already revised the PS5 once already for cost reduction. And with the parts shortage and global shipping issues, I don’t think they want to rock the boat until things settle down in the world.

  14. I have given up on next gen consoles for now I both don’t have the money and wouldn’t give it to a scalpers if I did I will get one when the have them in stores if they ever do that is.

  15. It was obviously PS5 by a mile, with close to 10 amazing PS5 exclusives and PS4 enhanced exclusives. After PS5 was switch, and then Xbox with just two decent exclusives released the entire year.

  16. Great video.
I landed a ps5 last Wednesday and I am legitimately hooked, the improvements within performance are astounding. I’m playing Kena and Returnal atm. I have Demon souls, ratchet and clank, ghosts of Tsushima ready and waiting.
I’m thoroughly impressed with the exclusives. Matrix brought a tear to my eye because of how realistic it is.

No doubt Nintendo is dominating but ps5 is where it’s at when it comes to great content and exclusives for the moment!

  17. All three have their benefits but i tend to play my PS5 slightly more than my series x, i play my switch occasionally almost always docked, so, paying for an oled model with no hardware improvements was not worth my time. Their overpriced nostalgia service offering was laughable, so gamepass has nothing to worry about.

  18. What a surprise! typical fanboy response. Nintendo has done nothing n ps released a few games early in the year n screwed over their fanbase the rest of the year. Xbox is the only one of the three that has showed some consumer friendliness n keeps doing it. Using console sales aa a factor in which does better doesnt work anymore

  19. All 3 systems, Xbox Series X, Playstation 5, and Nintendo Switch are absolutely great for me. As much as I have nostalgic feelings to systems like Mega Drive, Dreamcast and Playstation 1, the newest consoles of Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are the best consoles of all time in my opinion and make their direct predecessors obsolete (Playstation and Xbox because the backwards compatibility, Switch because many of the best Wii U games are ported to the Switch).

  20. I love my Nintendo Switch and you are right, they are doing such an amazing job at making varied and good experiences. For me personally, this year I played Zelda Skyward Sword , Mario Golf, Mario Party and freaking Metroid Dread. 2 mechanically deep games and 2 more casual, party — like experiences and I loved every moment.

    1. That kinda my problem, you could have said ‘I played Zelda, mario, mario, and Metroid’ in 1985,1991,1998, etc. I wish they’d branch out a bit.

  21. After the game awards it’s scary how far behind Nintendo tech is compared to sony or Microsoft. Hope Switch with outdated tech can survive this new gen era of gaming especially with steamdeck and g3x and more portable PC entering the market soon.

    1. Nintendo desperately needs to release a next-gen console within the next 2 years. They are so far behind the hardware race and it’s really showing. That’s why these cloud versions of 3rd party games are starting to pop up on Switch. Those games just wouldn’t be able to run natively (in anything resembling a decent state)

And things will get even worse when devs start abandoning the PS4/XB1 and make games just for PS5/SX. It’s hard enough to port current games to Switch, it will be impossible in a few years.

    2. @Fat Tiger i think third party devs no longer care about Nintendo to be honest. Not only usa and west devs but also jpn devs. They only put garbage games on switch and not big aaa games although some still do like capcom ubisoft but yeah Nintendo cannot compete against Microsoft or sony anymore in term of tech i fear Nintendo might die like sega soon

  22. I would definitely not say PS5 or Series X currently have the best games that have ever existed. Hopefully in the near future that becomes true.

  23. I agree, I have all consoles, XBSX, PS5 and Switch and Nintendo killed it this year. The Switch is the console that I played the most and it is also the that I have the most games. It simply boils down to the portable convenience. The second console for me is XBSX, just because of Game Pass.

  24. I love that all the consoles had a great year and I don’t like the people that fight each other for what console is the best because each console is great in their own right. Personally this year I have loved more the switch and like to play on it. Hope you are doing it too with whichever you have.

  25. XSX and Nintendo Switch owner here and 13 (PS5) million vs 8 (Xbox) million doesn’t equate to a 50 percent lead captain.

Momentum is just starting for Xbox and once real next gen games get into the foray, Nintendo will definitely have to switch it up.

  26. I can say early on in the year I played PS5 more. But as of April or may, I’ve only been on Xbox really. I’m just not that into the kids games that came out on PlayStation. Ratchet was fun but I only played through it once. Looking forward to horizon. But Sony needs to fill in the gaps between first party games. For me 2021 went to Xbox. But 2022 should be closer.

  27. Question: if you’ve finished in 3rd place for twenty years, in a race that has only had 3 competitors each generation…what does that make you? ( I’m looking at you xbox 👀)

  28. For me personally it is pointless to buy a PS5 or XBox4 right now because the same games are still being released on the previous gen system. Once game releases are current gen only then people will have to upgrade. But game companies would be shooting themselves in the foot to do that now because the average consumer can’t get ahold of a new current gen system

  29. Sony bought more studios this year than Xbox they’re the ones buying up everything 🙈🙉Sony also paying for timed exclusivity and extensions on those times 👎

  30. Had more entertaining experiences on my vita and ps3 this year. Whatever platform is more than enough if it provides you with entertainment. This isn’t a 3000 word essay, it’s simple.

  31. So MS buy bethesda and they have no realeased a game this gen (thats nearly 2 years ownership)and MS have smashed it with Halo and Forza (MS gaming companies)? But MS are paying to win? And the PS5 has realeased a bunch of indies in your own words and Keep games like Spiderman and Final fantasy away from Xbox but they are not pay to win?

I am glad you mentioned the lie that is that the PS5 is selling in record numbers — think about it logically no one is getting one so who is buying them? ( Don’t tell me these little group if scalpers have hired an Amazon warehouse to keep them all — so they can sell them for 1 million dollars!!!!!!)

The xbox either version is better than the PS5 this gen once people cotton on Xbox will outsell the PS5 it has already started this Xmas.

  32. For now I got only PS5 and I enjoy it) I have thoughts about XBox Series X, but Microsoft banning my home region, so Micro — I am not your guy) Still I have One X — I like it, but It collecting dust because I can’t play it for a last year. I like Switch console — It is great, but I have no wish to buy it. The last console from Nintendo which I really wanted to buy was SNES and N64))) I bought N64 in 2013, and catch NES mini and SNES mini — and that is OK for me for now. So, I am Sonyboy (mostly) and PS5 is a winner for me.

  33. “Let’s talk about the Nintendo switch”
    * goes on for minutes

    “Let’s talk about PlayStation”
    *goes in four minutes

Gamepass.. let’s talk more about Nintendo. 🙄

    Your bias is showing heavily.

  34. I’ve had a PS5 since day 1 & only It Takes Two, Miles Morales & Sackboy have impressed me so far.

Loving Animal Crossing on my Nintendo Switch OLED

  35. I have all three consoles plus a gaming pc. The only one I don’t think I’ve touched is the Switch. The standout game in 2021 was a 2d platformer and when I do play it again it’ll probably be to finish FFVII! For me, and I didn’t think I’d find myself saying this, it’s the Xbox. For a tenner a month I’ve discovered so many great indie games that I would never have played. Games like forza and halo are a nice bonus. There’s a reason why Sony is now going to introduce something similar — they can see the threat.
